Motive Components Ltd has been supplying engine components since 1981, their policy is to supply quality products at competitive prices with a high level of customer care and satisfaction. Motive has worked hard to be synonymous with quality and their products are comparable with O/E.

With 25 Years experience, Motive is now established as a leading force in the world of the automotive aftermarket specialising in engine parts. Motive’s original aim was to supply Engine Reconditioners from a fleet of vans and offer products direct to the door, but with the ever changing market and the world that we live in, the supply network has changed and the distribution of products now include supplying Motor Factors, Wholesale and Export accounts. To compliment Motive’s product portfolio, King Engine Bearings and King Pistons were added in the early days to give the full package. These products are still in their range and are conducive to Motive's place as one of  the main distributors in the UK.  

Some 18 years ago, Motive introduced joint ventures as part of its profile and expansion plans, firstly with a main stream, quality assured gasket manufacturer already supplying the O/E markets. Since that time, further expansion has found many more manufacturers within the Motive chain. These joint ventures have been taken to extreme levels and Motive has hundreds of thousands of pounds of tooling and investment with many manufacturers including Gasket, Camshaft, Hydraulic Lifter, Cam Follower, Head Bolt, Piston, Piston Ring and Valve to mention just a few. Continuous attention is applied to developing new ranges of both engine and gasket components and working in partnership with our joint venture partners has enabled Motive to stay ahead of the competition. With constant vigilance on quality and ensuring that the stock is available in this ever-increasing  “parts on demand” world, Motive has increased and expanded its stock profile to the value of approximately £1,000,000 at any one time.

With the ever changing automotive aftermarket, it was inevitable that Motive would expand its profile into the export markets. Over 12 years ago, Motive took the first steps into the world of exports and now enjoys the benefits of supplying “A World of Parts” to the four corners of the World. Never being afraid to invest in new products, the export market has enabled Motive to develop its product ranges and offer a full internal engine programme to a world of users and produce such camshafts as the VW/Audi 2.5Tdi V6 (AKN/AFB) and the associated Rocker Arms, Thrust Pads and Hydraulic Lifters.

Distribution has never been an issue, with good stockholding and excellent communication, products can reach the UK domestic market on a next day basis and export orders are turned around in a short space of time.
